Cavaletti Vineyards produces wines of personality and place that authentically express unique vineyard sites in our region. Each season we work with up to two dozen different vineyards within 109 miles of our winery. This diverse region spans from the hundred year old vineyards in the historic Cucamonga Valley, to high desert plantings in the Antelope Valley, to coastal locations in Malibu and Ventura County, and to vineyards in the Sta Rita Hills, Ballard Canyon, and Santa Ynez Valley in the north. This diversity of microclimates allows us to work with a wide range of varieties that are especially well suited to specific sites. After nine harvests of experimentation we have focused our 1500 cases of annual production on: Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc, and Viognier for whites; and Tempranillo, Zinfandel, Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon for red varieties. Additional varieties that are used each year as blending components are: Petit Sirah, Graciano, Alicante Bouschet, Mourvedre, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot, Tannat, and Picpoul.

We farm several vineyards in Ventura County with our small team using sustainable and organic practices. When we do our work well in the vineyard we are able to do embarrassingly little in the winery. Classic winemaking techniques that have stood the test of time, hard work, and a healthy dose of patience are the main things we use to craft unique wines that are full of personality.

Our wines are released three times per year to our wine club members. When volumes allow it - remaining wines are made available on our website, in our winery tasting room, and offered to select retailers and restaurants.
