Each year we meticulously farm several acres of organic, hillside Syrah in coastal Ventura County and craft them into the pinnacle of cool climate Syrah. 95% Syrah + 5% Mourvedre aged for 22 months in French Oak (25% new). The warm vintage worked well for Syrah in Ventura County. This bottling, which includes 3% Mourvèdre, offers soy sauce, purple flower, cracked pepper and dried dark-fruit aromas. The palate is viscous and rich yet savory and complex, offering soy, iodine, rosemary, baked black plum and caramel flavors.
