Our second bottling of the rare red-fleshed grape, Alicante Bouschet, sourced from the Swayze Vineyard in the high desert of Los Angeles County. Alicante Bouschet was the most widely planted grape during prohibition, but less than 200 acres remain in California. The wine is dark red in the glass, aromatic on the nose, with rich dark fruit and spice on the palate. Alicante Bouschet should be on your radar if you like big, bold wines like Petite Sirah that are full of personality and structure. 95% Alicante Bouschet and 5% Tempranillo. Aged 22 months in a mixture of barrels, 90% neutral, 10% new. 14.5% Alcohol by volume 130 cases produced
